The name Maruti Suzuki is just enough to gather crowd and induce a purchase decision. The upcoming Ciaz sedan shall be the latest offering from India's largest carmaker is due to be launched sometime next month. Physical dimension specifications like 4490 mm length, 1730 mm width, 1485 mm height and 2650 mm wheelbase makes it sound convincing and spacious. As for designing aspect the car is stated to be be based on the Authentics Concept that shall garner attention wherever it goes. The bigger boot space of about 510 liters provides with ample storage area for travelers too.
Sources had stated that Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has already garnered about 3000 bookings and over 12,000 inquires from all over the country have been reported. As the launch day nears, it is believed that the brand may receive additional bookings. The Ciaz sedan is expected to be launched in petrol as well as diesel variants. The petrol version is expected to be powered by 1.4 litre K-Series engine that delivers a top power output of about 92.45 PS with 130 Nm of peak torque output figures. On the other hand, the diesel range of the upcoming Ciaz sedan from Maruti Suzuki is likely to be powered by 1.3 litre Multijet diesel powertrain that is powered by Fiat generating power of about 90 PS and torque figure of about 200 Nm.
Pricing aspect is unknown for now, but it is believed that the vehicle may be priced between Rs. 8.0 Lakhs to 10.0 Lakhs price bracket. Diesel variant of Maruti Ciaz delivers fuel efficiency of about 26.21 kmpl as per ARAI tests. The sedan is likely to be offered with four speed automatic transmission and five speed manual transmission. The sedan may be offered in four trim levels.
