Maruti Suzuki's yet to launched Ciaz sedan has created quite a lot of hype for all the right reasons in the local market. The Ciaz sedan has been one of the most awaited sedan to be launched this year. As per the latest update, dealers in the country have started accepting bookings for the Ciaz sedan at a token amount of about Rs. 21,000, whereas official booking for the vehicle shall be accepted from 3rd September, 2014. Just days ahead of the launch, Maruti Suzuki has run a unique marketing strategy with the cool cat campaign. Though there is yet no confirmation on the launch date yet, but the stylish sedan is expected to be launched sometime soon.
Recently popular Bollywood star Ranveer Singh was spotted filming for the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz television commercial. Reportedly the ad was being filmed at a scenic location in Gujarat, India. The upcoming Ciaz sedan may be available in Petrol as well as diesel variants. The petrol version may be powered by 1.4 litre K-Series engine that has been running successfully with the Ertiga MPV, whereas the diesel version may be powered by 1.3 litre powertrain. For now both the engines may be mated to a manual transmission, but it is believed that Maruti Suzuki may introduce an automatic manual transmission sometime later.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Ciaz may be launched in six trims to provide buyers with multiple options to choose the right feature laden vehicle for them. Recently, Maruti Suzuki had also stated that it has been working on plans to achieve annual sales of about 3 million cars. With the Ciaz launch round the corner, it seems that Maruti Suzuki may not have to work too hard to achieve these numbers. Pricing details have not been known for now, but we anticipate that the vehicle may be priced around Rs. 8.0 – 10.0 lakhs segment.
