The popular seller from Hyundai's production line has recently made its debut in the local market. The petrol version of Hyundai i20 Elite is offered at a lucrative starting price tag of about Rs. 4.89 lakhs, whereas the diesel variant starts at Rs. 6.09 lakhs (Both prices are ex-showroom Delhi). As a class apart safety feature, Hyundai has included a new safety pedal in the hatchback that brings the car to a halt when the driver accidentally steps on the brake and accelerator pedal simultaneously.

The new advertisement that went live with the launch has generated good overall response. New features that have been embedded inside the cabin include in-built service indicator on the restyled multi-information display and steering position indicator. As for the interiors, the Elite i20 is loaded with new Bluetooth system, audio system with 1GB internal memory, two-tone colour scheme, eight speakers and rear AC vents are offered on the high end version. From safety perspective the new i20 Elite is loaded with features like dual airbags, anti-lock-braking system with electronic brake-force distribution have been put on offer on Asta trim.
Both the petrol and diesel engine options in the new Hyundai i20 has received the five-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant is powered by the 1.2 litre engine claimed to return an impressive fuel efficiency of 18.6 kmpl The diesel version is powered by a 1.4 litre, U2 CRDi diesel mill with displacement of 1,396 cc capable of developing a top power of 90 PS and peak torque of 22.4 kgm. Moreover, the diesel power-train claims to return an impressive fuel economy of 22.54 kmpl. Apart from safety, Hyundai i20 has been ranked better overall in its segment.
