The Indian auto giant Maruti Suzuki has raised the dealer margins. The company has increased the dealer commissions in the range of 8% to 10%, converting into a hike in the range of Rs 1,000 - 2,000 varying for its different petrol run portfolio models. The revision in the dealer commission is in the aftermath of price hike by the car maker, across all portfolio cars, last month.

As per the revised commission, the company will now pay about Rs 1,000 more to the dealers on the sale of cars like Alto, WagonR and Estillo. While on the sales of premium cars like, Maruti Ritz and SX4, the dealers will now get Rs 1500 more on part of commission. Interestingly, the company has hiked the commission by Rs 2,000 on the sale of its flagship exporting car Maruti A-Star.

In a statement given to ET, a spokesperson of the company said, "Dealer margin is as per the agreement between the manufacturer and the dealer. In line with the business needs and market conditions, it is revised from time to time."
