      Mahindra Xylo H-series launched at Rs. 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai)

      Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, the country's largest utility vehicle manufacturer, has rolled out new H-series range of its popular Xylo Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) in the domestic car market. There are three variants available in the Xylo H-series line-up that are powered with the Mahindra mHawk engine. The prices ofMahindra Xylo H-Series start from Rs. 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

      The H-Series Xylo features the same mHawk diesel power-mill that was previously incorporated in the top-end model of Xylo E9. This oil burner is rated with a peak power output of 118 bhp, along with a highest torque delivery close to 285 Nm. The Mahindra mHawk motor delivers an impressive fuel economy of 14.02 kmpl.

      The new Xylo H-series range offers three options- H4, H8 and H9. Xylo H4, the base trim comes equipped Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), while the mid-level trim H8 is fitted with dual airbags. Xylo H9 is the top-end model and boasts of the cutting edge Mahindra voice command technology (VCT), digital drive assist system, cruise control, reverse parking assist and extra stability technology suspension.

      Speaking his mind at the launch of the new Xylo H-series range, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Limited,was quoted as saying, “The Xylo has, since its introduction in 2009, carved a unique identity for itself in the area of class leading space and comfort. The addition of the mHawk engine will further boost its performance and take it a notch higher in its segment. Equipped with higher power and better efficiency, we are sure that the new Xylo H-series will be a popular choice amongst the discerning personal buyers.”

      At present,Mahindra Xylo competes againstMaruti Suzuki Ertiga, Nissan Evalia andToyota Innova models in the MUV segment of Indian auto market.
