      Fiat India opens new dealership in New Delhi

      Fiat Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd., a domestic subsidiary of the Italian auto maker, has opened the doors of its new dealership in the National Capital on Friday, May 10, 2013. The company's state-of-the-art store boasts of a showroom area of 5,000 sq. ft., along with a workshop unit spread across 11,000 sq. ft. of area within the same facility. The new store is called Kashyap Fiat and situated in Okhla Phase-III, New Delhi.

      Expressing his views on opening of the company's new dealership in the National Capital, Nagesh Basavanhalli, President and Managing Director (MD), Chrysler India operations, was quoted as saying, “Fiat is known for its after-sales in Europe and we are bringing in this expertise to India as well.” Enrico Atanasio, Director, Fiat Group Automobiles India Pvt. Ltd., was also present at the inaugural ceremony and said, “The network expansion is going on and is likely to be in place within the next year.”

      At present, the company is eager to expand its presence in the Indian auto market, besides upgrading its product portfolio. Fiat India is expected to introduce its Jeep Wrangler Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and Punto Abarth power hatchback in the domestic car market this year. Speaking on the company's future projects for the Indian auto space, Basavanhalli added, “We will be introducing new brands to the market and in the coming months you will see up to five new and refreshed models.”
