India made eco-friendly vehicle Mahindra e2o has been ruling the roost in its segment due to lack of any other player in its segment. This time around, sources have revealed that the company has been planning on introducing the electric e2o vehicle sometime soon in London. Adding further, sources believe that it could possibly be introduced within a month’s period. It is estimated that the company has spent over Rs 100 Crore for the electric car project and its production capacity at Bengaluru facility has been increased to about 30,000 units per annum.
Speaking more on the occasion to sources, Pravin Shah, president and chief executive (automotive), M&M, said: “Yes, absolutely! This is a great example under the government’s 'Make In India' initiative. We are ready with the product. We plan to launch the Mahindra e2o in many European markets in the next few months, starting with London very soon. We will get the support and incentives as enjoyed by the other EV makers in the UK. We plan to distribute the e2o on our own.”
