The Creta SUV from Hyundai has swiftly emerged as a popular choice in its segment. The SUV has reportedly accumulated about 1, 00,000 bookings and has supplied over 45,000 SUVs in export and domestic markets. Currently, the Hyundai Creta commands a waiting period of about three months. To address this issue the company is reportedly planning on increasing the production to about 10,000 units for the domestic market and 2,500 units production expansion for the exports, thereby bringing the overall production rate to about 12,500 units every month.
The Hyundai Creta has been offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol trim comes with a 1.6-litre engine mated to 6-speed manual transmission, while the diesel comes with a 1.4-litre unit mated to 6-speed manual transmission. The 6-speed automatic transmission option is only available in 6-speed automatic transmission option. The lucrative price tag between Rs 8.69 – Rs 11.29 lakh for the petrol trim and Rs 9.56 – Rs 13.8 lakh for the diesel trim ( All prices Ex-showroom, Delhi) has made it a popular choice in its segment.
