India’s largest UV maker, Mahindra and Mahindra has put on offer special edition of its popular SUV, Mahindra Scorpio. Only 500 units of Mahindra Scorpio Special edition will be made available for sale. Additional changes have been made to the interiors, among the prominent tweaks made inside the cabin include beige and tan leather seat covers. Besides this an integrated roof-mounted DVD player with 9-inch screen ups the luxury quotient offered to the customers inside the cabin, ample leather work can be seen in the form of leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob which compliments well the wood-finish central bezel.
The Special edition Scorpio does not brag any modifications on the mechanical front. M&M’s mighty 2.2 litre mHAwk diesel engine engendering pinnacle power and torque output of 120 Bhp and 290 Nm respectively powers Scorpio SUV. In October 2013, Mahindra had put on sale Scorpio Special Edition at Rs 11.88 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Mahindra struck gold with Scorpio when it forayed into the passenger vehicle segment. The SUV got better with each makeover and paved path to success for the home grown automaker in UV segment. A comprehensive facelift version of the SUV is in the making, the vehicle has been spotted number of times undergoing test runs across the country and is expected to go on sale by festive season.
