The special edition bike just weights 200 kg, and sports features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). The key features of the bike include three-spoke cast aluminum wheels, Kawasaki electronic handle damper, sport-Kawasaki traction control (S-KTRC), a power mode selector, big-piston fork, slipper clutch, titanium exhaust, race-based speedometer and adjustable foot pegs. The bike comes with six-speed manual transmission system. The rear tire measures 190/55-17 and the front tire measures 120/70-17. Also, the front tire contains dual disks with 310 mm plate while the rear has 220 mm plate. The bike has fuel injection technology that makes its mileage better. The power mode selector in the bike allows the rider to select power level and power delivery to match the riding conditions and take control of the bike. The back-link rear suspension helps in delivering smooth suspension actions with good road dynamics and over a variety of pavement conditions. Advance back torque limiting clutch helps in preventing the rear wheel to lock under extreme deceleration, and also improves corner entry handling. The design of the bike is narrow, lightweight and compact. Pistons and crankshafts are also designed carefully to complement the power production of the heavy engine. The strong connecting rods suit the power potential for the engine. The electronic control unit is designed so small that it can easily fit into an air box. The radiator is very light in weight and provides instant engine cooling.

The throttle of engine is large, 47mm that helps in throttle control. The display system installed in the bike helps in processing many forms of data including wheel speed, engine rpm, wheel slippage and acceleration and throttle position. There is a pair of speed sensors fitted in both the wheels. Riders can also choose between the three modes available in the bike as per their requirements and biking skills and condition. The LCD meter in the display panel displays how much electronic data system is providing in real time. The 9-litre air box increases the breathing power of the engine hence improving the performance. The shocks and linkage are placed above the swing arm and below the seats offering excellent road-holding, stability, and good cornering. The alloy wheels feature the three-spoke design that allows the suspension system to work more efficient.

The seats are places 32-inch from the ground making it easier to ride. The aerodynamics of the Ninja are compact and curved shaped. The ex-showroom price of the special edition is 20,000 more than the stock edition. The manufacturer warranty of the bike is 12 months or 11,000 km. The bike is designed on the concept of racing purpose and is the first bike that can cross speed more than 210 mph in stock parts.
