      JLR to launch Land Rover Evoque and Jaguar XF in India next month

      The British subsidiary of the Indian auto giant Tata Motors – Jaguar Land Rover – is gearing-up to launch two new cars in the Indian market in the month of November 2011. The company is expected to roll-out the all new Land Rover Evoque in the first week of next month, which will be followed by much awaited luxury sedan Jaguar XF by the third week of the same month.

      Land Rover Evoque is a next generation luxury sports utility vehicle (SUV), which was recently showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. The vehicle will be rolled-out in both petrol and diesel versions and it is expected to be priced in the segment of Rs 50 to 60 lakhs in the Indian market.

      Jaguar XF 2012, on the other hand, is a face-lifted version of the popular saloon, which is eagerly awaited by the car enthusiasts in the Indian market. The new version of Jaguar XF was previewed at the New York International Auto Show in April 2011. Powered by a 2.2 litre, four cylinder diesel engine, the new generation face-lifted XF model will be rolled-out in three variants including XF sports, XF petrol and XF diesel.

      JLR was acquired by Tata Motors in year 2008, when the British brand was struggling with credit crunch and huge losses.
