MAN Trucks India Private Limited, a well-known CLA series truck manufacturer in the Indian auto industry, has affirmed the appointment of Jagadish Bhat as the Head of management. Forty eight year-old Jagadish Bhat has achieved the position after replacing Stefan Holzmann, who served tenure of four years in India and has been now moved to MAN Truck and Bus in Germany. Following the takeover of Force Motor’s share from the Joint Venture (JV) of MAN Force Trucks in March 2012, MAN Trucks India Private Limited has been working as an autonomous division of MAN Truck and Bus.

The completely owned subsidiary of German Man Se Corporation forayed in the Indian auto industry in 2006 by the means of producing trucks and buses for the local market and for some of the selected regions in Africa and Asia. The auto major has established a manufacturing facility in Pithampur and carries its operations there with over 1,100 employees. MAN Trucks India also booked a corner in the 2012 Delhi Auto Expo, scheduled in January this year, and exhibited its latest bus model Airobus.

Coming back to Bhat, he is a Mangalore-based mechanical engineer who was earlier serving as a Managing Director in Hyva India Private Limited before joining the MAN Trucks India. Before Hyva, Bhat was working with Schwing Stetter India Private Limited as the company’s Vice-President, Engineering and Manufacturing. The well-experienced engineer from Mangalore is expected to shine at Man Trucks India and his contribution will be subjected to immense public interest.
