      International Auto Components Tools Engineering Expo in India

      The International Auto Components and Machine Tools Engineering Exhibition 2008 began on June 19 in Chennai in India. Nearly 420 companies are participating in the Expo and have come to India from various countries all over the world. The companies include those from China, Korea, United States, Switzerland, Italy, Israel, Germany, etc.

      The Expo has been organised by Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers Association (AIEMA) and AIEMA Technology Centre. Theme for the Expo is "an opportunity for growth" which shall end on June 23.

      The Expo is popularly known as ACMEE and was last held in 2006 when nearly 350 companies had participated. There is an increase of 42 percent in participation this year.

      This exhibition is one of the leading platforms for business to market their products that possess innovative and technological expertise in the auto industry. Businesses also find unique opportunity to showcase their products to target audience. It is also a one-stop solution for providing product information, first hand data and building industry contacts. The exhibition has approval of India Trade Promotion Organisation and 80 percent of the participants are from small and medium sector. ACMEE also offers a unique buyer-seller meet for auto component industry that is organised during the exhibition.
