A brand new upgraded model of 2011 Chevrolet Aveo model has been spied testing that was camouflaged in black and white colour. The model is expected to be similar to the one that was showcased earlier this year at the New York Auto Show. It will come with a diesel engine option and a South Korean design. As per the experts, the earlier model seriously lacked a powerful engine which prevented the model to make a strong impact. Now the new model will come with more powerful engine which will be a turbo-charged 1.4 litre four-cylinder Ecotec engine producing 103kW and 200Nm of torque. Similar engine is also expected to debut in Chevrolet Cruze as well.
The new model of Chevrolet Aveo RS will be built on Gamma II platform. It is a new version of the Fiat-GM developed Gamma/SCCS platform used most recently by the Opel Corsa, Opel Meriva and Alfa Romeo MiTo. The new features include an aggressive fascia, 19-inch wheels and tires, various aerodynamic add-ons, and modified interiors.
