Dave Zuchowski, chief executive officer of Hyundai’s U.S. sales unit, said, “Fuel-cell technology is not intended to replace electric vehicles. We see it as the next electric vehicle, but with no compromises.” Interested takers can enjoy the benefit of an added benefit – the car-maker has announced a least term for three-year, 36,000-mile; wherein the customer gets to enjoy unlimited free hydrogen refueling and free maintenance service at any one of three participating dealerships based in Southern California.

The process involves production of fuel cell power via hydrogen gas through a electrochemical process that involves no combustion or moving parts. In terms of emission, the exhaust breathes out water vapor. Once completely refueled, the SUV is capable is delivering a comfortable drive for about 265 miles. Timothy Bush, the person who has leased out the car, said, “I'm really excited to be able to pack up the kids and the dog and surfboards in the back and go to the beach or head up the local mountains, which we can totally do in this car.” Hyundai does not have any plans to put up the vehicle for sale anytime soon now, and it shall only be leased to interested takers for a while.
