Hyundai was to unveil its new Sonata at the upcoming New York Auto Show which is due to begin in April, however, as per fresh reports, the Korean car maker has already uncovered Sonata’s new avatar in Korea. Auto Industry is abuzz with therumoursof Sonata being re-introduced in Australia as a replacement of i45 sedan which Hyundai discontinued in Australia effective first quarter of last calendar year.
2015 Sonata will Inherit design inklings from new Genesis sedan. The successor model of Sonata is likely to offer enhanced appearance as compared to its predecessor. Among the new additions in the 2015 Hyundai Sonata, a new front grille and peeled-back head lights borrowed from Genesis are included. A flexuous roofline and a pronounced character lineemphasizeside profile of the sedan.
2015 Hyundai Sonata will boast of a bigger stance than its forerunner, it is expected that new Sonata will be 30mm wider and 35 mm longer than its predecessor. Besides this, the new Sonata will also offer enhanced legroom to the passenger, thanks to the enhanced wheelbase which is 20mm more than the previous model. Modifications have been done inside the cabin; better quality materials coupled with a string of advanced features make the cabin more comfortable and premium.
The car will be equipped with MacPherson in the front and multi-link suspension at the rear, promising an improved driveability. Hyundai Sonata will also offer refined Noise, Vibration and Harshness level owing to the high quality construction material and refurbished suspension.
Korean car maker is likely to house new Sonata with a 2.4 litre GDi gasoline engine which powers the current version of India bound Sonata. The 2.4 litre petrol engine offers a displacement of 2,359 cc and belts out 198 Bhp of top power along with a peak torque of 250 Nm. Besides this, a 2.0 litre motor is also expected to be offered in the new Sonata line-up with a torque and power output of 210 Nm and 165 Bhp respectively.
