Honda Motors, the leading Japan based multinational automotive company has announced the call back of around 4,59,962 units in China of its top selling upbeat sedan, Civic and highly successful compact crossover SUV, CR-V. These models have been recalled by the company owing to an undetected defect in the horns of those manufactured between July 2009 and August 2011.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine had received multiple complaints mentioning the fault in functioning of the horns in the car, which were forwarded by the department to the manufacturer for conducting an analysis on the defect.

In response, Dongfeng Honda alliance will commence on fixing the error in all recalled vehicles and will ensure that horns never suffer from same fault again. The owners of the recalled cars will have to drive off their cars to the dealerships and the automaker is committed to provide free repair service to prove its mettle in providing highest quality customer service.

The recall of the cars will be initiated by notifying the customers about the recall in this month; however the models with defective horns will be called back from the end of the next month.

Honda has teamed up with Dongfeng Motor Group Company and Guangzhou Automobile Group in China to capture the huge demand of this automobile hub.
