Honda Siel Cars India, the Indian unit of the Japan based leading car maker Honda, has launched an ungraded version of its luxury sedan Accord in the country. The new version of this premium luxury has been shelved in the price range of Rs 19.60 lakh and Rs 25.41 lakh.
In a statement given to the reporters on Monday, Honda Siel Cars India ( HSCI )) President and CEO Takashi Nagai said, "Our belief in constantly upgrading our products based on customer feedback prompted this launch of an upgraded version of the 'Accord' with unique styling in combination with luxurious features."
The new version of the Accord has been offered in two engine options including a 2.4-litre version at Rs 19.60-20.36 lakh and a 3.5-litre variant at Rs 25.41 lakh. "The new Honda Accord has more style, more comfort and more sophistication than ever before. A bold and aggressive look and striking interiors will make it the most commanding premium sedan on Indian roads," the car maker said in a statement.
Changes in the new Accord are both on the exterior and the interior. On the exterior, the Acord has got chrome inserts on both the bumber and the tail lamps. Moreover, the new Accord is now outfit with a sunroof as a standard feature and comes with integrated blinkers on the outside mirrors.
On the inside, the car now has a steering mounted cruise control and a new audio system.
It is to be mentioned here that 8th generation of Accord model was rolled out in the Indian market in May 2008. And the company has sold more than 25,000 units of this car in the Indian market since its launch in the country.
