Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) being a strong brand in the domestic two-wheeler market has reported 2% growth in sales with 3,99,178 units being sold in March, 2015. The break-up of total sales is about – 1,45,508 motorcycle unit sales, 2,38,919 scooter unit sales and exports stood at 14,751 units.
For the period between April to March 2015 Honda has posted more than double the industry growth at 20% in FY’2014-15 compared to 8% of industry. The company has also reported 2nd highest dispatch of HMSI after September’14 (Festival Billing). HMSI has recently also launched two new facelifted products namely Dio scooter (Rs. 47,581, Ex-showroom Delhi) and the Dream Neo motorbike (Rs. 49,034, Ex-showroom Delhi). Additionally, before the end of 2016, the company has announced its plans to have additional production capacity of about 6 Lakh units.
