Honda Amaze has been a popular choice in the 4-meter sedan category in India. Till date the sedan was available in petrol as well as diesel trims. This time around, Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has introduced a new CNG trim known as '1.2 S MT Plus' as a fresh addition to its offering in India. The latest offering in CNG trims comes at a price tag of Rs. 653,900 (Ex-showroom Delhi), wherein the vehicle cost is Rs. 599,585 and the CNG kit cost including installation would be Rs. 54,315.
The new Honda Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus continues to be powered by 1.2-litre four-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that is capable of generating a maximum power output of about 87 bhp along with a top torque output of about 11.2kgm. The vehicle gets a five speed manual transmission that powers the front wheels. Along with CNG specific engine components and wiring harnesses the sedan has also received tweaked version of the suspension. To provide maximum benefit to the customer the company is also offering a 2-year warranty on the new trim. Speaking more on the newly launched trim, Mr Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India said, "At HCIL, we constantly work towards enhancing customer experience through our products and services. We are extremely happy to bring the Amaze with a CNG option for our customers, which will not only be cheaper to run and maintain but also eco-friendly."
