Hero MotorCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler maker, had showcased the new Hero Xtreme Sports in January 2014, which was later unveiled at different platforms including EICMA 2014. The maker has also showcased the bike in Nepal and Sri Lanka, however, Hero is yet to announce its exact launch date.

Interestingly, Hero MotoCorp has recently updated its official website with a new brochure of the Xtreme Sports, indicating a near launch. Moreover, the brochure reveals that the bike will get an improved torque value (13.5Nm at 7,000rpm) as against the existing version's 12.8Nm at 6,500rpm.

Hero Xtreme Sport is powered by a 149.2cc engine that churns out a maximum power output of 15.2bhp and a peak torque of 13.5Nm. Power is transferred to roads via a five-speed gearbox. The new model is expected to cost slightly more than the standard Xtreme. It will be introduced in two variants- with and without rear disc brake. With disc brakes, the bike will be around 1 kg heavier than the regular model which weighs 146kg.

The Hero Xtreme Sport is likely to be made available in five exterior shades- red, silver, orange, black and a dual tone black and red. The bike is likely to be priced around Rs. 70,000, while the variant with rear disc version is likely to cost around Rs. 3,000 more.
