Harley Davidson India has rolled out Dark Custom models of its three motorcycles – Forty-Eight, Street 750 and Iron 883 – with updated design and suspensions. Interestingly, the company hasn’t changed the prices of the updated models. Beside this, the American motorcycle manufacturer also unveiled its 2016 product lineup for the Indian market.  With redesigned Heritage Softail Classic and Road King, the company plans to expand its business in touring motorcycle segment.

The Iron 883 receives a contemporary “garage-built bobbers past and present” – inspired Dark Custom treatment. Though, it retains the original design. It also gets updated front and adjustable rear suspensions, improved seating and lightweight mag wheels. The Forty-Eight’s design has been revised with bold stances, retro styling elements, new mag wheels and new front tyre. The bike also gets an improved seating, 49mm front forks and new adjustable rear suspension. Whereas, the 2016 Harley Davidson Street 750 receives updated front and rear braking systems.

For the first time, all Softail motorcycles – Heritage Softail Classic, Fat Boy and Breakout – have received the High Output Twin Cam 103 engines, which were earlier used only for Harley Davidson’s touring motorcycles. Talking about the Heritage Softail Classic, the bike gets a new saddlebag support structure, standard electronic cruise control, new styling and Tiwn Cam 103 engine. All 2016 Harley Davidson Sportster models received tuned Sportster suspension with adjustable progressive-rate spring pre-load, improved seats and new front and rear suspension system.

Commenting on the new line-up, Pallavi Singh, director (Marketing), Harley-Davidson India said, “This is another historic year for Harley-Davidson. We’re raising the bar on Dark Custom motorcycles with the new Iron 883, Forty-Eight and Street 750, the purest expression of the design. And we’re extending our lead in touring with the return of the Road King and redesign of the popular Heritage Softail Classic.”
