The Chiron Sport can change direction faster than before, claims the carmaker, all thanks to the reduced weight and improved handling. There are no changes to the output figures of the colossal 8.0-litre W16. It still produces 1500bhp and 1600Nm of turning force. But the engineers have managed to shave off 18 kilograms from the mammoth weight and added a new dynamic handling package with a revised and stiffer suspension. The suspensions are now 10 per cent stiffer and respond better to quick direction changes. “We have developed the Chiron Sport for the customers wanting an even sportier driving experience with their Chiron, with improved lateral dynamics on winding roads,” says Stephan Winkelmann, president, Bugatti Automobiles.

The wheels are now lighter, there is carbon fibre windscreen wiper and the exhaust are four circular pipes instead of the conventional rectangular tip. The subtle tweaks have made the Chiron Sport faster than the standard car around the Nardo track, says Bugatti, while the cornering speed of more than 200kmph has also been achieved. The Geneva showcar is finished in a combination of black and red but customers can have it in different colour combinations as well including the interior.

Bugatti is asking 2.98 million Euros for the Chiron Sport making it the most expensive production car at the Geneva Show this year.
