The renowned German car maker Volkswagen presented its most expensive car sold in India, the Phaeton luxury sedan, to Gauri Khan, the producer of the highly awaited Bollywood film Ra.One and wife of Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan.
It is strongly believed that Ra.One will feature one or more Volkswagen cars in action sequences. Car brands roping in celebrities to endorse their products have become an inevitable trend at present. However, the strategies have been given modifications as the cars are nowadays promoted by being featured in important scenes of movies.
The German car maker, which is gradually gaining momentum in India owing to the success of Polo and Vento, is targeting to spike its visibility through Ra.One. Volkswagen gifted the Phaeton to Gauri Khan at a high-profile party, organised by the car maker. The event marked the commencement of Volkswagen's tie-up with Ra.One.
As a matter of fact, Ra.One has a huge fan following because of its distinctive story line and unprecedented action. It is important to note that Shahrukh Khan is the brand ambassador of Hyundai Motor Company, and thus the possibility of some Hyundai cars being seen in the movie cannot be ruled out.
If reports are to be believed, the actor is trying his hands on a Bugatti Veyron, which is till now the fastest production car in the world. It is believed that the Bollywood actor received exclusive training sessions to drive the car in the film. The Volkswagen Phaeton is the company’s most classy and luxurious model, available for a price tag of around Rs. 32 lacs.
The car has been developed to deliver the highest level of performance and control. Moreover, Volkswagen has several other features that are usually a part of high-end cars that are priced well above Rs. 50 lacs.
