Primarily, fourth generation model of Honda City will be arriving on 7th January and the upcoming months will be packed with a series of unveiling.       As mentioned on the company's official website, Honda claims that its new 'Earth Dream' diesel technology surpasses all feats attained by other car maker's innovations. With a whopping 26 kmpl of mileage, tested by Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the iDTEC engine in new Honda City is undoubtedly an ingenious invention. Furthermore, the petrol iVTEC variant is no lesser in statistics and company states that it has attained an 18 kmpl ARAI tested fuel economy. The figures are astonishing enough to tempt prospective buyers and is certainly doing the same since these numbers were unveiled by Honda.

      Fourth generation Honda City flaunts an exclusive framework and splendid outlooks. Its interior are no less than a luxury suite and are lumped with technically advanced features, with finely stitched leather upholstery. Provision of sunroof, keyless push start button and rear parking camera are expected to arrive in high-end variants of this car. Whereas, features of touch-screen audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and electric Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) with fold function is believed to be standard in all the versions of upcoming City. Also, safety features of Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) and front passenger/ driver airbags is likely to be standard.       Under the hood, this car will carry the same diesel engine from Honda Amaze, with a capacity of 1.5-litre. Performance figures will also be similar to the latter, producing 98 bhp of peak power with 200 Nm torque. Along with, the option of 1.5-litre petrol mill is also available. Options of 5-speed automatic/manual transmission are given with the petrol version whereas, the diesel unit will be assisted with the manual gearbox. Interestingly, the car is expected to lie in a price bracket of Rs. 7.5 lakh – Rs. 11.5 lakh and will face stiff competition from ongoing Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Verna. The South Korean car maker has been extremely successful with its new fluidic design and Honda will aim to vanquish new City from mid-size sedan segment.

      Experts are unanimously agreeing that the new Honda City will perceive huge appreciation in domestic market. A swamp of pre-bookings in company's dealership is sufficing such promises. Honda has incessantly attained a spot in the top 5 car makers of the nation and will strive hard to overhaul its successors in the league, with new innovation.
