German luxury car maker Audi has hinted that Indian auto market might witness the arrival of its high-octane super sportscar RS 7 on 6th January. Recently, the company presented its million dollar investment proposal for strengthening global portfolio and similar tactics seem to be employed on domestic level as well. Audi RS 7 was internationally unveiled at Detroit Motor Show in 2013, and since then the car has been quite a buzz generator among auto fanatics. If speculations are true then domestic market could soon witness the most powerful car by Audi.

Company claims that Audi RS 7 is a vigorous creation and the car's performance figures suffice this entitlement. It is believed to be a high-performance variant of Audi A7 sedan. The car flaunts stealthy looks and impeccable body layout. Incorporated with a 4.0-litre V8 engine, it produces a mammoth 560 bhp of maximum power with a peak torque of 760 Nm. Company claims that 0-100 kmph mark can be attained in just 3.9 seconds and the car is capable of achieving a top speed of over 250 kmph. The 4-wheel drive model is assisted with a 8-speed tiptronic automatic transmission, making it blister the tracks. After such astonishing statistics, one should not forget that Audi RS 7 does exhibit the traits of a sedan.

Overall, the car's chassis is created by an aluminium hybrid, which Audi terms as an ultra lightweight technology, making the car more nimble. It flaunts a typical Audi layout, with roofline displaying a sharp bend. LED's seem to be the primary choice of the company, which has been employed on headlights, rear lights and indicators. Its front fascia displays Audi's aluminium-matte single frame grille with a similar trim around exterior windows. Windshield accompanies heated water nozzles to be utilised on foggy paths and the car has an adaptive rear spoiler, which enhances its aerodynamics.

At interiors, technicality seems to be lumped on every feature and console. Provisions of four-zone automatic climate control are assisted by sunroof, three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel with paddle shifts and power tilt and telescopic adjustable steering column. Also the Valcona leather upholstery perfectly compliments the honeycomb stitching. Front seats can be heated, as per the passengers requirement, and rear seats are foldable in 60:40 split ratio. Infotainment system is provided with superior quality navigation system, featuring voice control and BOSE surround system with 14 speakers. Cruise control sports the option of coast, resume and accelerate for utmost drive comfort during a high speed.

After its arrival, Audi RS 7 is expected to face stiff rivalry from BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. The trio lies in the price bracket of Rs. 1.3 crore and even share almost similar performance figures. However, reports are suggesting that Audi has just crossed 10,000 unit barrier and is the first luxury car maker to achieve such feat in domestic market, with Mercedes-Benz and BMW lagging behind. Amidst such a fierce rivalry between the German trio, it will be compelling to see how these car makers manage to compete in the upcoming time.
