The Fiesta sedan from Ford has been in the market for quite a while now. In an attempt to regain its lost sales, Ford is expected to launch the new Fiesta sedan in a new avatar sometime soon in the country. In recent times the sedan has been spotted undergoing tests on local roads. Ford Asia Pacific President David Schoch was heard at the Auto Expo2014 event as saying, “As we prepare to launch 23 models globally in 2014 - the most in more than a century - we see huge potential in India, both as a market and as center of excellence of manufacturing. We are building the factories of future in India and across Asia Pacific region to set the stage for turbo charged growth in coming years.”
Ford’s facelifted Fiesta sedan is expected to be launched this month in the domestic market. It has been learnt from the sources that Ford could bring the diesel model only, whereas unconfirmed reports suggest it may be launched in petrol varinat as well. For now the vehicle may be powered by 1.5 Liter diesel engine that generates about 90 Ps of power. The engine shall be mated to a five speed manual gearbox.
On the exterior front, the Fiesta is expected to feature trapezoidal grille that gives it a sportier stance. The headlamps are smoothly crafted to flow into the sides of this car and the bigger bonnet gives it a muscular stance. At the rear, the tails lights have been tweaked to make it look bigger and bolder. Ford has not officially revealed the pricing for this car. Currently Ford has been giving out heavy discounts on its vehicles across segments. The exact pricing for the Fiesta sedan may be revealed at a later date and is expected to be known post release sometime soon in the Indian market. Interior dimensions for both the variants have largely remain unchanged in the new Ford Fiesta sedan. The interior sports two tone shades and new seat fabric that enhances the overall ride quality for its occupants. Applink sync connectivity system has been used in this fresh lot. This allows drivers to use voice commands to play their favorite music, controlling mobile application and making phone calls. Moreover, Ice Blue lighting on the switches, dials and displays gives it a distinctive appeal.
