To celebrate its official sponsorship for the FIM MotoGP Championship, Abarth has introduced the 595 Yamaha Factory Racing Edition with sporty features, and a choice of seven exciting colours. Designed in partnership with Yamaha and world racing champignons Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, this special racing edition comes with painted brake calipers, 17-inches matt black alloy wheels, and optional matching Abarth side stripes and mirror covers.

The car also gets a special ‘Yamaha Factory Racing’ badge as a standard feature, and has Record Monza exhaust system with butterfly valves on both sides. Other noteworthy features include flat-bottom leather steering wheel, tinted windows and aluminum pedals. Fiat is offering an optional accessory kit with this racing edition that includes xenon headlamps, dual zone air conditioning and a leather interior.

Powering the Abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Racing Edition is a more powerful version of the 1.4-litre T-Jet turbo engine that churns out a maximum power of 160bhp at 5,500rpm and 230Nm of torque at 3,000rpm (Sport mode). Transmitting power to the wheels is a five-speed manual gearbox. The company claims that this powertrain still complies with Euro 6 emission norms, and is capable to achieve 57.7mpg (UK) on the extra-urban consumption. Boasted with IHI RHF3-P Turbo, it can mark 0-100km/h in 7.4 seconds. The suspension system of the hatch includes Abarth Koni shock absorbers with FSD valves and Eibach lowering springs.

Commenting on the new Racing Edition, Gerry Southerington, Abarth UK, brand manager, said, “ The new 595 Yamaha Factory Racing Edition adds a new dimensions to the Abarth 595 line-up. With an upgrade to 160 horsepower, lowered suspension, sporting looks and a great sounding exhaust system, we expect a lot of interest in this car from Abarth enthusiasts and new customers alike.”
