Ferrari has been the most cherished brand by sportscar lovers, with its fan base reaching to even the minuscule parts of the world. The Italian stallion is known to squeeze out humongous power even from tiny engine, with the end result being a high-octane supercar. Interestingly, the company has officially declared that all the units of its ultimate speed cruiser has been sold and auto aficionados cannot dream of owning one now.
The company first displayed its frenzied innovation when it launched Enzo. The car was a masterpiece of styling and had performance figures for which numbers were falling short. After a decade since the advent Ferrari Enzo, LaFerrari was launched worldwide and was considered to be the successor of former. It was the sheer hard work of company's think tank to come up with such a technological wonder. LaFerrari happens to be a hybrid sportscar incorporated with a 6.0-litre V12 engine and an electric motor that produces a combined power output of a colossal 960 bhp. 0-100 kmph can be reached in just 3 seconds with the car is capable to attain a top speed of 355 kmph. The figures itself leaves people awe-struck and when the car blisters on the track, it is a thunderstorm to witness.
But fortuitous turn of events has led to the end of sales for LaFerrari. While unveiling this car for the first time, Marco Mattiacci, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ferrari North America, said, “This car is going to be the benchmark of the auto industry. The combination of incredible design, Italian heritage, make this car the hottest car in the world right now.” Indeed all these titles suffice LaFerrari which is undoubtedly the fastest production car by the company till date. The auto maker also states that the initial plan was to produce just 499 units of the car out of which 120 will be sold in USA. LaFerrari was also included in company's latest scheme that comprised making its automobile more exclusive.
Experts are of a view that with increasing competition from the likes of Bugatti and Pagani Automobili, Ferrari has decide to downscale its production, thereby making the brand image more distinctive. Notably, LaFerrari's sales were similar to that of Enzo where the auto maker would be inviting preferred buyers to own this car. With a price tag of whopping $1.4 million, the car is worth every penny. Its in the league of cars whose pictures would be cut and pasted on walls of auto fanatics. It is a grunt model that roars like a starving lion and when launched on the track, it transforms into a lethal missile. Although no more fantasisers would be able to get their hand on LaFerrari, it has certainly made a mark in everyone's heart.
