      Ferrari S.P.A. is a Fiat owned Italian luxury sports car brand. The brand is known for producing world class luxury sports car at its Marnello based production facility. The foundation of this brand dates back to 1929 when a man named Enzo Ferrari founded a company called Scuderia Ferrari. Before foraying into street legal vehicles production as Ferrari S.P.A, the company was reckoned for producing race cars and providing sponsored drivers. In 1969, it sold its 50per cent stake to Fiat which later grew up to 85 per cent in 2008. In 2014, it finally grew up to 90 per cent. 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO was one of the most expensive cars in the world in 2012.  It was bought by an American communications magnate Craig McCaw for a price of $38, 115, 000. The brand is also known for regular participation in car races across the world. At the Formula One race, Ferrari is known for holding a legendary position. Apart from this, Ferrari car models are especially admired for their exclusivity, luxury, and speed all over the world.

      In India, the brand made an official entrance on 26th May, 2011. Initially, it appointed Shreyans Group as its official import partner; however, the association came to an end in year 2014. At present, Ferrari sells its models across the nation via its two dealerships located in Mumbai, and New Delhi.

      Mr. Sergio Marchionne has been in association with Fiat Chrysler Group from a long time.       The production of Ferrari cars began at its Maranello facility in 1943. In 1944, the factory was bombed by the Allies, however, it resumed its operations in1946. In India, all Ferrari models are imported as Completely Built Units (CBU).       The Ital based luxury car maker resumed its operations in India after breaking its association with Shreyans Group in the beginning of 2015. Ltd while in Mumbai, it is taken care by Navnit Motors.

      Ferrari is yet to come up with its varied range of environmental friendly vehicles. Nevertheless, as part of its environmental friendly initiatives, it did produced LaFerrari hybrid sports cars as limited edition. The car hit floors at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and propelled on a 6.3-litre V12 engine. This engine churned an output of 800PS against a peak torque of 700Nm. It also coupled with a 163PS KERS units to deliver a combined output of 963PS for 900Nm torque. The engine suitably mated with a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox that supported rear wheel drive system.
