May 24 2008 was celebrated as the Family Day at Hyundai Motors India. The event was a huge success and depicted true colours of unity and togetherness. It was celebrated as a part of recreation and welfare programs for the employees at the R&D Auditorium in the factory premises.
The complete event was organised truly as per the convenience and pleasure of the families of each employee. They had been divided into 25 groups with each group having 150-175 employees. HMIL dedicated 20 buses for pick up and drop for the families at various boarding points. Each group was given a chance of factory visit each Saturday. Thus the whole event lasted for 25 weeks. Each group was greeted with police troop performing at the entrance with a heartening music.
The event on 24th May comprised of cultural program and magic show by “Badavi” Gopi and his team. The Managing Director, HS Lheem gave the opening speech and thanked family members of every employee for making the event such a huge success.
Families of nearly 175 employees converged in the auditorium and participated in various programs. The complete affair was filled with fun and frolic with families walking away with gifts and prizes at the end of the day.
