In the domestic auto market, the auto maker delivered 32,102 units with a growth of just 0.3 per cent under the review of 32,010 units sold in the year-ago period.

Speaking on these sales figures, the Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of Hyundai India, Rakesh Srivastava was quoted as saying, “Hyundai has been able to maintain positive growth and will gain in market share in a market that is at the near bottom level and is expected to move into positive growth in the coming months as the demand for the petrol cars is improving. In these challenging times, we are continuously increasing market share by improving operational efficiencies and aggressive marketing campaigns. Our products Elantra and Verna continue to be the market leaders while our compact cars have grown in their respective segments. The export volumes have increased and we continue to improve on our leadership position on account of strong demand from the non European markets.”
