India-based trucks and buses manufacturer, Eicher sold 3,602 units in July 2012 with a dip of 13.2 per cent against the figures of corresponding period last year. The overall sales of company in 2012 stood at 29,661 units till August 1, which marked a growth of 7.6 per cent when compared with 27,564 units, the figures of same tenure last year.
As far as sales in domestic Commercial Vehicle (CV) market is concerned, in July 2012, the auto maker delivered 3,492 units with a fall of 11.3 per cent against the 3,935 units in year-ago period. On the other hand, the cumulative sales of the same in 2012 registered a sum of 28,177 units till August 1, with a surge of 9 per cent under the review of 25,852 units sold in same period of 2011.
Showing a growth of 3.8 per cent, in July 2012, the auto maker delivered 929 units in the domestic market against 895 units sold in July last year. The comprehensive bus sales of Eicher marked 5,755 units with an increase of 34 per cent under the review of 4,293 units, which were sold during the same tenure last year. The sales of Heavy Duty (HD) Eicher trucks witnessed a dip of 39 units in July 2012 as in year-ago period, the company sold 601 units and the figures in the same tenure this year stood at 562 units in the domestic market. Till August 1, in 2012 the auto maker sold 4,759 HD Eicher trucks with a growth rate of 21 per cent against 3,932 vehicles delivered in corresponding period last year.
