Italian super bike manufacturer Ducati has announced its re-entry into the growing Indian two-wheeler market with plans to operate sales and service network under a subsidiary. The company first made its debut in Indian in 2009 partnering with Precision Motor India, which was its exclusive importer. In January last year, Ducati decided to start its own national sales company in India and Precision Motors would become one of its distributors.

The Italian maker has now opened three dealerships in three major cities of the country including Mumbai, Delhi and Gurgaon. The company has also announced to open its fourth dealership in Bangalore shortly.

Commenting on the development, Ducati India Managing Director, Ravi Avalur said: "Our intention was to open in India with an official Ducati presence only when we were absolutely ready.
