A couple of years ago, Rajendran had been trying on developing a low-cost electricity option for schools. Back then he was also a part of an electric car company. In the company he had been a part of the team who had been working on the problem of recycling expensive EV batteries. The battery are worn-out by about 70% in five to seven years and then they are generally dumped in landfills. Over the next 3 years it is likely that about 17 million useful EV batteries will be crushed and tossed aside across the globe. This waste could probably prove to useful for his dream and can indeed power schools.

Currently, everything that Rajendran needs is funding of about $40,000 and has by now managed to raise about $10,087 for now. He also reportedly has, “All the key pieces are in place”, and the only shortage is here is monetary funding for the cause.
