The excitement among car makers for the forth coming Delhi Auto Expo at its best and large number of car makers are looking forward to showcase their range of existing and future products at this show. With more and more car makers looking forward to acquire a large platform at this show to attract visitors and car enthusiasts, the organizers have revised the floor rent rates to Rs 11,500 sq m for non members of SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers). The last revision in rated came in year 2006.
The revised rates have made the Delhi Auto Expo floor rates second most expensive, only less then Shanghai Motor Show where the floor rent rates were at Rs 15,000 per sq m during this year’s show.
In a recent statement, an official from CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) said, "The rentals are not market-oriented but depend on the cost of the venue – our costs have gone up 35 per cent from the last time. The demand (for space) this time has been three times that is available at Pragati Maidan. We expect around one lakh people more to turn up this time."
The Delhi International Auto Expo will be held at Pragati Maidan in the National Capital from 5-11 January 2012.
