The high profile Dubai International Auto Expo kicked-off on Thursday with the showcase of a range of luxury vehicles from car makers around the globe. The German car maker Audi unveiled its all new compact Sports utility vehicle – Audi Q3 – at the show, which has been meeting with an overwhelming response from car enthusiasts and visitors. The Audi Q3 model was introduced in the world market a few months back, followed by the starting of its commercial production in June 2011.
The all new Audi Q3 SUV is expected to be on sale from second quarter of next year. Though the company is yet to unveil the pricing of the Audi Q3 model, but it is seen as a competitor of BMW’s latest SUV X1.
As per the industry reports, the new Audi Q3 SUV will be rolled-out in 4 engine variants including 2 diesel and 2 petrol versions. The diesel version of the car will carry a 2.0 TDI (1968CC) engine at its heart with two different max outputs including peak power of 138 bhp with peak torque of 320 Nm and peak power of 175 bhp with peak torque of 380 Nm . On the other hand, the petrol variant will come powered by a 2.0 TFSI (1984 CC) engine with two different out puts 168 bhp / 280 Nm and 208 bhp / 300 Nm.
The Audi Q3 SUV is just 4.3 m long with width and height of 1.83 m and 1.59 m. Carrying a weight of just 1,640 kgs, the Q3 SUV can comfortably accommodate 5 adults.
