      Car Bomb attack threat posted on Twitter for upcoming Obama's visit in India

      Just couple of days ahead before US President Barack Obama's planned visit to India, a Twitter account managed by Thane, Maharashtra based man reportedly belonging to notorious Islamic State (IS) has called for car bomb attack targetting the US President's visit to India. The Tweet posted late on Monday night by @magnetgas, reportedly stated, “Heard that enemy of Allah, Obama is coming to India soon. And Indian Muslims are good in chemicals, so a chemical car bomb will be a good idea.”

      NIA sources have stated that Twitter account in question is being managed by one of the Thane youth who had joined IS sometime last year. A source stated, “A close watch is being kept on the Twitter handle as it is believed to be operated by one of the youths from Thane who joined the IS. The latest tweet on the Obama visit has been taken note of and appropriate action will be taken. The US authorities will be approached for details of the handle under an emergency disclosure request.”

      Four Thane based youths, civil engineers namely - Areeb Majeed, Saheem Tanki, Amaan Tandel and Fahad Shaikh had been to Iraq to join the IS last year. Among the four, Majeed returned to India about two months ago as he had been injured in combat near Mosul. Ealier post on Twitter by the same id claimed he had been killed in fighting. The Delhi Police Commissioner has however stated that all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure US President's safe visit to India.
