      BMW to launch 2013 X1 facelift in India on February 14, 2013

      The Indian arm of BMW, a globally renowned German luxury automotive manufacturer, is all set to entice domestic car enthusiasts with the launch of its 2013 X1 facelift on February 14, 2013. The BMW X1 is a compact Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and is one of the company's top selling models in the Indian premium car market. The launch date coincides with the Valentine's Day and the German auto major couldn't have selected a better time. Evidently, X1 model is one of the most beloved BMW products, which explains the immense hype building up for its yet-to-be launched 2013 facelift model among the car enthusiasts of the country.

      The upcoming 2013 BMW X1 facelift is anticipated to come trimmed with an enticing new front fascia, redesigned headlamps and remodelled tailgate with rear bumper. The interiors have also been toned up in the revamp and boasts of a redesigned centre console, silver tipped accents on its steering wheel, along with chrome accentuated air vents.

      As per reports, the 2013 BMW X1 has already been introduced in the Indonesian market. The company markets the X1 through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit route that helped it to considerably bring down its pricing in the Indian auto market. Coming to under-the-hood specifications of the 2013 X1 facelift, the compact SUV will be introduced in both petrol and diesel guises in the country. The upcoming X1 revamp will be powered with a 2.0 litre petrol motor rated at 177 bhp, whereas its diesel trim will come fitted with a 2.0 litre power-mill, which can produce a maximum power output close to 150 bhp. At present, the BMW X1 poses some stiff competition against the likes of its fellow German rivals Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz B-Class Sports Tourer in the Indian auto market.
