The upcoming Honda CR-V will come trimmed with a number of interesting interior attributes, such as premium leather upholstery, airbags in all the rows, an enticing AVN (Audio Visual Navigation) entertainment system with 6.1 inch screen. The stylish premium SUV will also come equipped with keyless entry, sunroof, Automatic Cruise Control (ACC) and one touch folding rear seats.

As per reports, the Japanese auto major will introduce the 2013 CR-V facelift with two exterior styling packages, namely 'Inspire' and 'Elegance'. The Honda CR-V Inspire will feature tailgate spoiler and chrome tipped scuff plates for the door sills. Further, the ‘Elegance’ kit consists of just the chrome tipped scuff plates and no spoiler and running board.

The Japanese car maker will introduce its 2013 CR-V in two petrol models, one with a 2.0 litre motor with 2-Wheel Drive (2WD) system and the other being equipped with a 2.4 litre engine in an All Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration. Both the models of new Honda CR-V will be powered with 2.0 litre and 2.4 litre (rated at 185 bhp) 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engines. The engine assemblies are anticipated to come assimilated with five speed manual and six speed automatic transmission gearboxes, depending upon the model.

Upon its launch on Indian turf, the 2013 Honda CR-V facelift model will be pitched in an intense battle against other segment contenders. The Honda premium SUV is expected to pose nightmares to the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra SsangYong Rexton, Mitsubishi Outlander and Pajero Sport, Ford Endeavour, Nissan X-Trail, Hyundai Santa Fe and Chevrolet Captiva amid others in Indian premium utility vehicle market. Honda Cars India is expected to launch the 2013 CR-V revamp model with an introductory price tag around Rs. 25 lakhs. The new Honda CR-V could also challenge the 2013 BMW X1 facelift model, which is slated for a February 14, 2013 launch on Indian turf.
