The 2012 London Olympics scheduled to commence from July this year has officially associated with the German luxury automaker, BMW to supply a fleet of over 4000 models of its power packed performance delivering saloons, BMW 5 and 3 Series. The premium vehicles will be utilized for conveyance of the VIP dignitaries such as high ranking civil servants, politicians and renowned persons that will be directed exclusively for their use for the two week spanned event.

All the 4000 models of the BMW 5 and 3 series dedicated for the event have been embodied with the official logo of the Olympics and the vehicles have already been used to train the volunteer chauffeurs how to drive and escort the guests through the specially constructed lanes so as to avoid traffic jams near the venue.

Even the ambulances are permitted to utilize these specifically designed lanes taking a note of the emergency situation that may occur suddenly and the lanes are well routed through the Wembley Stadium, Greenwich, Stratford, Earl's Court, Hyde Park Corner, Lord's Cricket Grounds and the Excel Centre.

However, the news that is making rounds on BMW becoming the official sponsors for conveyance of the VIPs is the staunch opposition made by the eco-friendly supporters discouraging greater use of vehicles at the Olympic venue and motivating people to make use of other green mode of transport.
