Bajaj Auto's upcoming bike - the Pulsar RS 200 (Pulsar 200SS) - is undoubtedly one of the most awaited bikes of this year. The company recently unveiled the teaser images and video of the bike. Our sources reveal that the bike will be launched in the country by the end of this month. The company has already showcased this affordable sportsbike on different platforms, and it will be launched in the Turkish market soon.
According to the teaser, the Pulsar RS200 is the 'Fastest Pulsar Yet' and is equipped with a 200cc, 4-valve engine. It is also equipped with triple-spark technology, which helps the maker attain ideal engine speeds especially on high speeds. It is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that churns out a maximum power output of 24.4PS at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 18.6Nm at 8,000rpm. When compared to the Pulsar 200NS, the fully-faired Pulsar RS200 offers 1 PS more power and slightly more torque. The engine is coupled to a six-speed gearbox.
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is 2,060mm in length, 750mm in width, 1,160mm in height, and has a ground clearance of 165mm. The affordable sportsbike weighs 151kg and comes with a 12-litre fuel tank, which is slightly smaller than the 200NS. The suspension mechanism consists of telescopic setup at the front and single spring damper at the rear. The front gets 280mm butterfly type disc, while the rear gets 230mm butterfly type disc brakes.
The front fairing of the Pulsar 200 RS has integrated LED daytime running lights. Adding to it, the bike has LED tail-lights and dual projector headlights with automatic headlight function. The affordable sportsbike is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 1.10 lakh to Rs. 1.35 lakh.
