      Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS to be launched by June in Turkey

      Indian two-wheeler firm Bajaj Auto has been fuelling its ambitions for making its presence felt in international markets. One such country where Bajaj Auto is planning to make a strong foothold is Turkey. The Indian firm has already showcased its new range of models in Turkey and that too quite vociferously. Based on updates featuring on Turkish website named Motoron, Bajaj Auto has been gearing up to launch the Pulsar 200 SS, its new flagship bike, in Turkey during the month of June, 2015. Officials from Kuralkan Holding, Bajaj Auto’s distributor in Turkey, were present at the 2015 Eurasia Motorcycle Expo, has confirmed the news at the recently concluded event. In addition, the representatives said that Bajaj would be following up the Pulsar 200 SS followed by Discover 150F sometime later this year.

      As per sources, the new Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS will be exported to Turkey as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) from the firm’s production unit in Chakan, Maharashtra. It is also being said that the Pulsar 200 SS that would be sold in Turkey shall be tweaked with slightly better power output figures as compared to the Indian trim. The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS is powered by a 199.5 cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled drivetrain that is capable of generating a power output of about 23.5 BHP at 9500 RPM along with peak torque output of about 18.6 Nm at 8000 RPM. This engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission system. Bajaj Auto has loaded this bike with several features, such as radical full-new fairing, LED DRLs, dual projector headlamps and dual channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) among others.

      Reports and statistics suggest that Bajaj Auto is performing really well in Turkey with models like Boxer 150, Pulsar 200 NS and Discover 125 ST having strong demands. Industry experts feel that addition to new models along with the existing line-up is an intelligent step taken by Bajaj Auto that will definitely help in increasing sales. Industry experts have lauded the Indian firm for its performance in Turkey. Bajaj Auto has managed to accumulate over a hundred dealerships across 135 service locations in Turkey, that too within a time frame of just eight months. Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS, in Turkey, is likely to be put on sale for around 9999 Turkish lira (INR 2.41 lakh approx.). Interestingly, the version to be sold in India is expected to have a price significantly lower than the one in Turkey (around INR 1.45 lakh). Keeping the competition in mind, the firm has also decided to introduce both Anti-locking Brake System (ABS) and non-ABS versions of the bike.
