Rumours regarding the launch of Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS have been doing rounds for a long time now and many tabloids have tried to figure out the potential performance of this bike. In fact, the testing period of Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS has gone on for so long that a section of the media has gotten bored continuously writing and talking about it. To make matters worse, Bajaj Auto has not given any sort of indication about whether the launch is imminent or will never take place. Nevertheless, industry experts have still tried by looking at leaked spy shots to determine what the bike would do.
The pictures of a test mule was posted by a reader of AutoPromag and it is being said that the mule looks exactly like the concept that was shown at the 2014 Auto Expo in Greater Noida. Bajaj Auto is expected to take things to a higher notch while launching the Pulsar 200 SS, which is expected to be a fully faired version of the Naked Sport version. The highlights of this bike include projector headlamps, eyebrow –like LED daytime running lights, mono suspension and stubby silencer end can.
Many industry experts believe that this bike is set to be launched in the upcoming festive season, which is the best time to launch a vehicle in India. Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS, in all likelihood, will feature the same liquid cooled, single-cylinder triple spark engine that enables the NS model to churn out a power level of around 23.18 BHP and a peak torque of 18.3 Nm.
Along with this model, the firm has also been testing the Bajaj Pulsar 400 SS, which is likely to compete with the KTM RC series. Though a launch for both these bikes looks likely in the upcoming festive season, nothing can be confirmed until an official announcement takes place.
