However, it also had said that the existing variants in this segment would stay in the market. To go on with the things it promised, Bajaj Auto will revamp its Platina 100 cc bike with renewed looks to maintain a fresh appearance of the bike in the market. There will be a number of changes in the model, which will include refreshed decals, changes to body panels and stickers.

Though there would be a plethora of changes in the appearance, the mechanical features will be just the same for this model. The new Bajaj Platina will have the identical 99.27 cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled ExhausTec engine that will be capable of producing a power of 8.5 PS at 7500 rpm. The maximum torque that can be generated by the bike is of 8.5 Nm at a reduced 4500 rpm. The mill is dexterously mated with a 4-speed gearbox. For the comfort of the rider, the bike has been provided with hydraulic telescopic forks, both at the rear and the front. The bike has 17 inch alloy and spoke wheels. The brakes on the bike are of the drum type for both rear and front wheel for an efficient manoeuvring of the bike.

There would be no difference in the price of the new bike in this segment, which will be available in dual variants, According to the ex-showroom Delhi figures, the prices are tagged at 37044 INR and 39030 INR, respectively. It faces a competition from other popular bikes in this segment like the Hero HF Dawn, Honda CD 110 Dream. This segment is among the most popular among commuters in India and Bajaj will look forward to take its sales charts to the next level riding on the all-new Platina.
