Bajaj Auto, the second largest two-wheeler maker in the Indian market, launched a new model of its Discover model in the Indian market on Thursday. The new Discover model has been priced at Rs 45,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike will be launched across the country in phases.
The new bike sports a 125cc engine coupled with latest DTS-i technology. According to the company, the new discover offers an unbeatable combination of mileage and power.
Speaking to the reporters at the occasion, Bajaj Auto President (Motorcycle Business) S Sridhar said that the Discover 125 has been rolled-out to cater to the need of the commuters looking for mileage and power. It is to be mentioned here that the Bajaj Discover is currently one of the largest selling bike brand in the Indian market as there are more than 40 lakh Discover owners in the country.
While further informing about the newly launched Discover model, Mr. Sridhar said, "The current Discover volumes stand close to 1.2 lakh units per month and it has already become world's second largest two-wheeler brand. With the launch of this model, we plan to clock volumes of 1.5 lakh per month for fiscal 2011-12."
