      Auto Expo 2012 expected to dazzle visitors

      The New Delhi Auto Expo which starts tomorrow is all set to dazzle visitors with a vast line-up. All the major domestic and international brands will be making their presence felt at the event by showcasing some of their best offerings. The Expo, which is expected to be attended by 1500 exhibitors from around 24 countries, will include automobiles in the passenger car, commercial vehicle and two-wheeler segments.

      In the passenger car segment, Maruti is bringing its Ertiga MPV, along with the unnamed compact SUV and Swift Sport. The company will also be showcasing the hybrid version of its popular hatchback Swift. Hyundai will be presenting some of its new offerings to the capital, including the concept MUV HND-7, Elantra sedan and Veloster, along with the current Eon and Santa Fe.

      A major crowd puller at the Expo will be the diesel variant of entry-level Nano by Tata. Apart from that, the electric hybrid version of its premium sedan Manza and the eagerly-awaited Auto Expo with the new Pulse, a hatchback, and Duster, a SUV. Its global partner Nissan will showcase the Leaf, an electric car, GTR, 370Z, Teana, Micra and Sunny at the event.

      In the luxury segment, Mercedes-Benz will exhibit its new M-Class, concept version of A-Class, DTM, SLS GT3 and SLS AMG Roadster at the Auto Expo. BMW will put its M5, Vision ConnectDrive, Individual 7 Series Composition, 3 Series Convertible, 5 Series, 6 Series Coupe and 6 Series Convertible and X1, X3, X5 and X6 models on display. The company will also introduce its luxury small car brand in India with the MINI, MINI Countryman and MINI Convertible. Audi India is expected to showcase Q3, S6, RS5 Coupe, R8 Spyder, electric hybrid concept of A3, A8 L Security models at the Expo.

      Ferrari, one of the most prominent car makers in the world, will come to the Delhi Auto Expo for the first time with its 458 Italia, 599 GTB Fiorano, California and FF. Peugeot will be re-launching its brand in India with the 508 executive sedan, which will be showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo.

      Apart from passenger cars, Tata, Volvo and Mahindra will also make their presence felt in the commercial car segment at the event. Two-wheeler makers are not lagging behind too, as leading brands like KTM, Triumph, Suzuki, Bajaj, Yamaha, BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Royal Enfield and Harley Davidson will be present at the exposition.
