Audi India, the luxury car maker, will be launching its Audi Q3 Crossover in India in the month of June 2012. The stylishly designed car has been provided with a 2 litre TDI turbo diesel engine. It has the ability to generate maximum power output of 170 bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm.
The car will be assembled as CKD kits at the Aurangabad plant of the company, which will assist the car maker price the Q3 competitively. It will feature Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive mode, along with the automatic S-Tronic transmission. A powerful SUV, the Q3 will be incorporated with start-stop technology and LED daytime running lights as standard features. Although the company has made arrangement of panoramic sunroof, it will be an optional feature.
Even though Audi India has not made any official statement regarding the launch of the petrol variant of the crossover, there are rumours that it may be introduced in September or October. The petrol variant will be powered by a 2.0 litre TFSi engine that can generate maximum power of 211 bhp.
Audi India is doing quite well in the luxury segment and Audi Q3 will be its third SUV model after Q5 and Q7. The crossover will be competing with the existing BMW X1 Crossover and yet to be launched Mercedes Benz B-Class Sports Tourer hatchback.
