What you see in the picture is a more powerful version of Ford’s Shelby GT350 that was shot testing in the US with a camouflaged front end.
On closer inspection, the covered front portion reveals sharper design cues than what can be seen on the GT350. The test car also comes with larger air-intakes, a bigger spoiler and a longer hood. It even comes with superior Michelins unlike the ones that are on the GT350. All these factors invariably point towards a more powerful engine in this car, and if it’s got more power, it could be the GT500 test mule.
Also, while the car was being shot, a sticker on the windscreen depicted a code that was earlier seen on other test cars that carried a turbocharged engine. If this is anything to go by, then the rumoured 750bhp plus for the GT500 could become a reality, especially if turbo power found its way into this powerplant. Shelby GT fans have a lot of horsepower coming their way in the months to come.
