Mitsubishi Motors, the Japanese automaker, will unveil the third-generation Outlander SUV next month in Japan. The vehicle is scheduled to make its global debut at the 2015 New York Auto Show on April 1. Ahead of its global debut next month, the clear picture of the front fascia of the 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander hits the web-world.
The updated Outlander SUV gets a new front fascia with a dual-slat chrome grille, which we have already seen on the Outlander PHEV Concept-S. The vehicle gets X-shaped front bumper, aggressive headlamps and new fog lamps. There is lot of chrome treatment on grille, headlamps and fog lamps. Recently, the production-ready model was snapped undisguised while waiting for shipment at a Japanese port.
The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander's exterior gets significant upgrades. It features new taillights with red graphics with chrome treatment, and a new bumper with fog lights. The flared wheel arches have been fitted to eccentrically-angled, diamond-cut alloys. It is expected that the interiors of the SUV will get new dashboard trims and a new touchscreen infotainment system. The Outlander facelift is expected to get 2.0- and 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engines.
Hindustan Motor Finance Corp is planning to introduce the petrol version of the Outlander SUV in India in 2015, while the oil burner is likely to come next year.
